Václav Havel’s architecture
Václav Havel comes from a famous architectural family. His grandfather designed and built the Lucerna Palace in Prague, his father, among others, the Barrandov residential area and the famous Barrandov Studios. Vaclav Havel's life journey, however, went in a completely different direction. Nevertheless, it was thanks to him that a number of important construction works was build – especially at Prague Castle, but not only there. The exhibition will present his collaboration with world-renowned architects Eva Jiřičná, Bořek Šípek or Josef Pleskot. As the part of the exhibition, sculptures and drawings by Zdeněk Makovský, a famous Brno sculptor and architect, will take place here.
The Statutory City of Brno and the South Moravian region financially supported the project.
