Adolf Loos Followers

The world-famous Brno native Adolf Loos, whose legacy is still alive today, has influenced several generations of architects. When Otto Wagner announced his departure from the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts in 1911, his students turned to Adolf Loos with a wish for him to apply for the vacancy. Instead, Loos established his own private school, open to regular and occasional students. Some of these followers later became Loos' close associates. Others were influenced by the theoretical works or practical accomplishments of this European humanist and architect. There are a number of buildings on the territory of today's Czech Republic that bear witness to their inspirer and teacher. The latest exhibition is dedicated to these, but also some unrealized projects.
