The world famous Brno native Adolf Loos has influenced several generations of architects and his legacy is still alive today. When Otto Wagner announced his departure from the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts in 1911, his students turned to Adolf Loos to apply for a job. Instead, Loos founded his own school, open to regular and extraordinary students. Some of the students gained experience directly in Loos' studio - for example Paul Engelmann or Heinrich Kulka. Others, such as Richard Neutra and Rudolph Michael Schindler, have publicly admitted to this school. The followers also include architects with whom Loos worked directly on some projects and who later became famous for their independent work. It also includes those whose work shows Loos's footprint.

Probably the most works of Loos' followers can be found in Vienna, many of them scattered all over the world. On the territory of today's Czech Republic we can find several dozen such realizations, which will be presented by the upcoming exhibition. In addition to the aforementioned architects, there will be works by Friedrich Ehrmann, Jacques Groag, Karel Lhota, Kurt Unger, Rudolf Wels and Ernst Wiesner.

The project is supported by the Statutory City of Brno and the South Moravian Region.
